About Me

Celiac life ain’t easy, let’s get through it the only way we know how!
Toronto has always been home to me, however once I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease at the age of 16, I felt alone and unstable. Over the years, restaurants have added more gluten-free options, and more individuals have begun to understand Celiac Disease and the severity of it. From these social and cultural changes, I now have the opportunity to eat at restaurants with friends and family. Toronto is truly beginning to feel like the home I had always imagined it could be! I am thankful for all the restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores that have made my life significantly easier, and I want to share my unique gluten-free finds with all of you, so you can all feel at home too!
I am currently in my 20's, working a full-time job in downtown Toronto, and enjoying the foods I have always dreamed of. I absolutely love to travel, and I am always excited to explore new gluten-free restaurants that I can feel comfortable at in a new city or country! When I was first diagnosed as a Celiac, I thought I would never be able to live a normal life. I thought that going out for meals would always be stressful. I am so thankful for all of the restaurants that have eliminated the stress of eating out. I believe that the Celiac community must stick together and continue to help one another!
I hope you enjoy @myceliaclife and I look forward to us getting through life the only way we know how - together!
