Since a lot of you know that I truly love to travel, many of you have asked me where I travelled for my honeymoon, and for a lowdown on my recent overseas travels! Well – here’s the long awaited post… on Australia! Mid-December, Jake and I flew into Melbourne (no it was not a direct flight), for us we went through Guangzhou, China, and landed 28 hours later in Melbourne. Spent 3 nights in Melbourne, flew into Tasmania, where we spent half a day in Launceston, then drove to Hobart and spent 2 nights there. Then 1 night in Uluru/Ayers Rock, then Cairns for 3 nights, Gold Coast for 4 nights, and finally Sydney for 5 nights. We did and saw so much over a 3-week period, that it truly blows my mind how quickly the holiday came and went. Here are some quick highlights in each city: Melbourne - An amazing city filled with coffee shops, hip restaurants, and awesome people. • Walked the city – breathtaking! • Visited the Melbourne Botanical Gardens • Graffiti Laneways • Eureka Skydeck • Enjoyed Chinatown • Walked along the beautiful, St Kilda Beach Tasmania - The perfect combination of nature and urban lifestyle filled with historic stories, culture and beautiful sites. • Freycinet National Park • Cradle Mountain • Salamanca Market • MONA (Art museum) Uluru - Also referred to as “The Outback.” It’s an indigenous area with a beautiful HUGE rock, called Uluru. The city is based around this incredible rock! • Walked around/day tour of Uluru • Learned all about the culture and story behind Uluru Cairns - Famous for the Great Barrier Reef. Unfortunately the conditions were terrible when we were there so our reef tour got cancelled. We did however get to see some other incredible sites: • Cape Tribulation • Daintree Rainforest • Cairns Aquarium (Not quite the Reef, but it was a solid alternative) Gold Coast - Absolutely stunning coastal views, each beach was more beautiful than the previous one. The city is filled with tourist, incredible shopping malls, and beaches galore! • Surfers Paradise • Paradise Country – Koala Encounter • Byron Bay • Pacific Fair Shopping Centre • The Village Markets (Outdoor Market in Burleigh Heads) Sydney - We were here for New Years, which was absolutely wonderful! Sydney has beautiful beaches and the hustle and bustle of city life.. it’s the perfect balance! • Sydney Harbour • Opera House • Bondi Beach • Manly Beach • Bronte Baths at Bronte Beach • The Rocks • Queen Victoria Building Jake and I had a wonderful holiday, amazing experiences (especially with the gluten free food there), and an all-around wonderful time! A highly recommended trip, filled with long, busy days, and stunning views from all around! What a way to celebrate our marriage!

Welcome to MCL WorldI am currently in my 20's, working a full-time job in downtown Toronto, and enjoying the foods I have always dreamed of. I absolutely love to travel, and I am always excited to explore new gluten-free restaurants that I can feel comfortable at in a new city or country!
